“I think the one thing we don’t talk about enough is that it’s okay to not know what you want to do.”

“Our oldest son is a junior in college and he’s stressing about his loans and really what he wants to be, and how does he really know, and he even thought about quitting school because he doesn’t know.

“It doesn’t mean you’re a failure, none of those things. I don't think we talk about it enough: kids and schedules and activities, and keeping them busy and grooming them to go do something – it might not be what they really want to do. Then that transfers into the workplace and the potential to have people who are just showing up, but aren’t necessarily wanting to be there or loving to be there. And they’re set on this path and they don’t know how to think about something from a broader perspective, or to be able to see that this move over might actually be the step that gets me to that next thing.”
